I’m thrilled to say we made it through the first trimester! I know I’m not quite there, but after today’s ultrasound, I’m going to call it a win. 🙂
I’m 12 weeks down, and we officially have an entire baby in there, with fingers and a mouth and a stomach (we caught him/her swallowing and working that jaw- practice for later!). The little booger was moving so much, it took them an extra 30min to get the pictures they needed! No guesses on sex. I would have bet money early on that we had a girl on the way, but now I’m not so sure. All I know is we are psyched. Thank you to all of you sending good vibes and happy thoughts into the air for us. It’s been a stressful two months but worth every second!
So the tiny person is already the size of a lime! Maybe that’s what I had in mind when I put this shirt on? 😉

I feel good, no weight gain to speak of (tell that to my belly. How can it be this big already? And yes. That is a flattering picture up there. It really is pretty obscene.), and very little nausea. It’s actually surprising how similar this pregnancy has been to my last. I’m fully aware of how lucky I am! Ha! Luke is great- terrified it might be a girl- but we have some time to prepare for puberty.
Grey is doing wonderfully! He’s 19 months and just perfect. He’s a stinker and loves hugs and kisses. He had new words every day and learned how to open all the doors in the house. He yells OUT at the dogs and then lays on them like a bean bag chair. The kid is amazing.
