Hiking Red Hill with Auntie Heather!
Playgrounds are getting to be more fun.
Showing off the chubby legs!
Eyelashes and teeth!
This is why my child is always covered in bruises and scrapes. And yes, there is a toy in his mouth.
We play in the shower! He loves to pop over the top to see who’s waiting outside!
Stinker pants.
Note from Grey and Luke: “Send clothes PLZ!!”
Loving his swing from Aunt Marla!
Big boy.
And again, trying to give mama a heart attack.

We had a great little outing today- to the playground, then the grocery store, then to lakeside for a sandwich and some grass time. It was so nice outside!
Grapes taste even better with a little grass on them.

I can’t imagine my life without this little guy. This video is an example of why. My favorite part is right at the beginning- he’s talking and throws a little attitude in there. Happy Mothers Day to me and all the mamas out there that have influenced me. There’s so many! Most importantly, my Mamacita. Love you!
Hello!
Well, he’s officially out of that super easy and fun stage where he stays mostly in one place and is easily entertained by simple toys and just looking at stuff. Now we’re into the incredibly fun, but exhausting stage of getting into absolutely everything that is off limits and/or dangerous. =)
This last month has been huge for Grey in terms of physical and language development. He managed to pull himself up just in the last 2 weeks. He’s also cruising and letting go to balance for a few seconds at a time. He’s crawling now, but it’s still kind of awkward and he still much prefers the scoot. The biggest game changers have been pulling up to the coffee table (it’s now much tidier!) and getting up the little stair/raised lip into the kitchen from the living room. This means he can’t be contained to one room now. It’s super cute to watch him negotiate that little step, so I can’t complain too loudly.
He is also understanding more of what we say. Now, if you hand him a ball and hold out a cup, he’ll put the ball in when you ask. You can see his mind is processing when you ask him questions, and his talking is starting to sound more like a “real” person.
Some of you have heard this story, but a few weeks ago I had Grey in his highchair for breakfast. He had chunks of bananas and dried raspberries in front of him, and clearly was enjoying the bananas most. I was keeping him company while he ate, and he picked up a raspberry, looked at it, looked at me… then back at the raspberry. He then proceeded to feed me that one, plus every other raspberry on his plate- and NO bananas! I thought that was pretty funny. He’s certainly more calculating than he used to be.
He made it up two regular stairs yesterday, on his 10 month b-day. The video below is a lucky shot. I was actually trying to tape him *trying* to get up the step… but he figured it out and surprised the hell outta me!
