Maple Syrup Tour at Prescott Farm
We had a great time on the tour today. We learned how to identify sugar maples and also how to tap a tree and boil sap. I may have found next spring’s hobby!

Creepy Stares
What Grey does on all plane rides. Needless to say, our row mates and the people behind us didn’t sleep well. 😉

8 Months
Our little guy is now 8 months old! I’ll let the pictures and the video do most of the talking. He’s been working on standing with one hand on something for support, even letting go for a split second before landing on his bum. He also has mastered the pincer grasp and stuffs food in his mouth at an alarming pace. He’s UNSWADDLED in his crib (this is a big deal for us), and can find his paci in the middle of the night. He also practices rocking on his hands and knees in the crib. He’s waved at a few people (the dentist’s office ladies and Erin!), but still won’t show his dad. The kid is stubborn!
What else? His sense of humor is coming along. He’ll have little fits of giggles unrelated to anything that’s happening at the time, like he’s either imagining what would be funny, or remembering something. I could be imagining that, but I’m pretty sure there’s more to it than just a random laugh.
Anyhoo, we’re both head over heels for him, and he seems to have taken a liking to us as well. =) I’m really tired, and headed to bed. His sleep is coming along, but we still have a good number of rough nights. Did I mention he was stubborn?

- A new tradition. This Statue is on an island in Meredith Bay. It’s only accessible by ice, so we’ll be going out there every winter for a picture!
And last but not least, a funny video. Watch till the end- he goes all limbs akimbo on us. Also note- the leg he whacks out to the side here and there is actually a calculated move. He’s turning! Ha! I lol every time I watch this thing.

Beans and Crunchies
I’m making beans today so Grey will have something besides puffs and dried fruit to pick up and eat. In the last 3 days or so, he’s figured out his pincer grasp. He’s also babbling a lot! He says super clear ‘da-da’ and we heard ‘ma-ma’ for the first time yesterday. He also is clicking his tongue on the roof of his mouth. I’ve been trying to catch a video but he’s getting tougher to catch. Speaking of, he’s been scooting all over the place for the past week. Baby proofing will be on our agenda this weekend. So much, so fast!

Boom!
I put this on facebook but spaced the blog. I’ve got to share the love!
Also, the little booger is on his hands and knees, rocking! I honestly didn’t think it would happen. Yesterday he made it to all fours but basically just collapsed from the weight of it all. Today he can hang out in that position for a minute or two with some pretty enthusiastic rocking! I’m hoping I can add a new video tomorrow. =)
