A Very Patient Feline

Halloween 2012

Why sleep is overrated

image

I finally gave up around 630am. We slept (or tried to sleep) in no less than 3 locations last night. Swaddled and unswaddled. Alone and together. Some nights are just made for partying.

4 Month stats

We had a great visit with the pediatrician! Grey weighs 17lbs 10oz (93rd percentile) and is 25.5in long (75th)! He’s perfect and healthy and totally hates shots. In case we weren’t sure, 10minutes of intense screaming made us absolutely certain. 😦 he’s happy now and sleeping it off. I’m sure he’ll be ok for the flight this weekend. I’m currently on the lookout for a mirror to mount behind his changing table in the nursery. He sure likes to check out that cute kid- can’t say I blame him!

A Smattering of Smiles

I absolutely love this picture! Grey loves mirrors, and my front facing camera on my phone is just as exciting for him- lucky me. =)

And this picture was taken just moments before. Proof that with photos, the angle is everything! hehe

Ready to go to the corn maze!

Who, me?

From the other morning…

All tuckered out before the day even started

A little background- we had an earthquake last night, and not a tiny one. It was measured at 4.6 about 50miles from us, and I thought our house had been hit by a truck. It was all very scary and exciting last night, and obviously not a big deal this morning, so I posted this to facebook:

We survived the aftershocks in padded earthquake shelter (we chose down blankie over the triangle of life). We have oxygen, water, and toys, but no food. Plz send rescue crews with cap’n crunch so I’m not forced to nibble on this meaty little morsel!

We’re off to AZ on Saturday, but not before Grey’s 4 month appt and shots on Thursday. Wish us luck, and can’t WAIT to see the AZ crew!

Pumpkins and Corn Mazes

We took Grey out to the corn maze at Moulton Farms. The maze itself wasn’t too exciting. I would have been in there for hours had Luke not taken control of navigation. =) Of course, we took timeΒ  for photos:

Happy family. We then went into where they sell all the pumpkins and tried to take some cute pictures of Grey. It didn’t work out so well. Not all Grey’s fault, some was the lighting, some was the photographer. I did get this little series:

That last picture is about 3 seconds before we were in the car and headed home…

Grey’s new bouncy thing

The animals enjoy coming up to visit, which Grey LOVES! He now pets and rubs the dogs and cats. Apple rubs back, and z allows Grey to grab her face. πŸ™‚ such sweet pets!

Grey’s been figuring out the jumper- he’s got the concept now but his legs just won’t cooperate! In the meantime, the straps are downright delectable…

Luke’s Last Project

Luke finished the landscaping in front of the house. It looks great and no longer dumps water into our basement every time it rains. The tree next to the bay window is a dogwood, and the one on the corner is an ornamental cherry of some kind.

Quite a change, eh?
