We’ve just been hanging around the yard and house the past few days, here are some highlights.

I just adore this boy and his big Brown eyes.

Apple season! Grey is picking up where he left off last year. He’s learning quickly to ask me before he eats an apple off the ground. Haha!

G snuck into the storage shed/tractor garage and climbed right up into the tractor. Kid knows what he wants!

I have a feeling I’m going to love this picture in a few years, but right now I’m using it to underscore exactly how tired I am.

Grey has been really digging songs with hand motions lately- I just love watching him try to turn his fingers into a diamond.

Reed is a week old! He’s doing great, had surpassed his birth weight by day 5 (they hope this happens in 2weeks or less), and is generally happy to eat, sleep, and toot. Grey is totally in love, and is constantly asking to hold him, hug him, or to sit by him. Here are a few gems: the balls next to his head in the one picture are wool dryer balls to be used in place of dryer sheets. Or, according to Grey, they are an ornamental headdress.

Just a quick update. Everything’s going wonderfully, Reed is nursing like a champ , I’m moving around very well and hoping that we can be discharged tomorrow! Grey met him last night and it went swimmingly- he’s understanding what his new role will be, and already is showing Reed the ropes. Overall, this is one happy mama! More pics to come!

I thought this posted the other day, but it didn’t!  Now it’s only 11 days til d-day. Eeek!

Because someone was extra cute today. 🙂 As we close in on Baby Reedlet’s arrival(2 weeks from today!), I can’t help but marvel at this little 2 year old. I wonder crazy things, like, “what is Grey stays my favorite?? I mean, I already KNOW how much I like him!” I know for a fact it will all be fine (hard, but fine) because millions (billions?) of people have siblings and their parents haven’t killed anyone. Solid reasoning, eh?

Anyway,  I’m 37 weeks, the kitchen is almost done, the baby is almost out, and I’m still plugging along. This summer has been chock full of lake trips, baby pools, sunshine, and ice cream. I’ve got to get my fill of it all before it cools down again, and Grey is in full agreement.
