The past 2 weeks in pictures

Playing in the backyard with his new hat on (ear infection). 😦

We went to the Sandwich fair, where g tried the merry go round, funnel cake, and fried veggies (didn’t care for it, loved it, hated it). He was happiest with mom or dad, eating an apple.

Big boy climbs the stairs, goes to the slide, and slides all the way down on his own!

Pumpkin picking and the corn maze with Cat and the kids!

Beans & Greens: A Day at the Farm

A quick hello! Here are some pictures from the local farm. Erin brought Evelyn along for the fun. We are having so much fun watching their friendship form. They now push and pull each other through their playdates, laughing and shrieking along the way. Sure, there are times we need to break them up; there are also times we watch them hold hands and even hug and kiss! It’s too cute.

Here is a before and after. Check out Evelyn’s mud! Grey is wet from head to toe. Did I mention they had fun?

Playing in the big puddle

They made a big maze out of haybales! This is the best idea ever, because the kids can see where they’re going. They had a blast!

The animals were cool too. And the greenhouse.

What a fun day. =)

Watch “Uh-oh” on YouTube

Grey has a cold today, it made his voice raspy. He still has a great attitude though!

The past week has been crazy in terms of his language development. He’s back to attempting all of his words (CAR is still his favorite). When I read to him or play with him, he pretty reliably will point to whatever I ask him to find. The cool thing is that it can be a new book with pictures he’s never seen. He can find the bird, giraffe, duck, frog, fish, dog, cat, monkey, banana, bug, and a few more.

I asked him where the baby was in a picture book and he grinned from ear to ear, then did the sign for baby (act like you’re rocking a baby)! We’ve been doing a little bit of baby signing – mostly food related. I hadn’t even tried the sign for baby; he picked it up from the video alone.

We were playing with his big red ball the other day and I told him to back up. He just did it.  I’ve never asked him to, and I can’t even recall a time that he would hear that request directed at another person. It’s like his brain can put that stuff together now.

Babies are amazing.

Wow. I’ve been a bad little blogger

I can’t believe how long it’s been! This kid is keeping me on my toes, and with such a great summer we’ve been having, we don’t spend much time inside. Grey’s over 14 months old now, running, chasing, playing with the dogs,  throwing his huge bouncy ball, and laughing at EVERYTHING! he also just recently learned to give real, puckered lip kisses. 🙂
Here’s a few pics from the past month

Playing with Dada (Dada might be usurping Mama as the current favorite)

Hiking along the Kancamagus highway

image

First haircut – he did great!

image

First apple from the tree in the backyard. He’s eaten several since! I think he likes using his teeth so much.

image

We went with Luke to go get dirt for the yard. Good times. 🙂

image

Playing with Holden in the yard. That big kid wore him out!

image

Long hike with lots of wild blueberry picking along the way… Also wore him out!

image

One of the salads I make quite a bit. Good for growing boys! 🙂
